My name is Delaynie Ross, but I go by Laynie. I am majoring in Psychology. My hometown is Rattan, Oklahoma, and I attended Rattan Public School. Throughout my highschool years I played Softball, and basketball. I received the 2024 All-state Slowpitch award, and also was runner-up in the 2024 Slowpitch State games. I was very involved in FFA all four years of highschool, as an officer for 3 years, and showed livestock for 4 years. Throughout my highschool journey I gained a lot of mentors through my family, teammates, and coaches. The one coach that always pushed me to drive was Mr.Cade Clay. Without his guidance and willingness I wouldn’t be half the athlete I am today. Coach Walter Watts for always staying late after games or practice to help with anything I could possibly ask for, and always caring for each player as if they were his own. And, lastly my parents for always going above and beyond for making this a reality, putting in countless miles and hours to allow me to be able to have this sport. My favorite quote is “Be the one” -Cade Clay. In my free time I most enjoy riding some backroads with my dog, Stellan or spending time with my friends. My all time favorite tv series to watch is either Grey’s anatomy, or One Tree Hill. Fun fact about me is I will always crack a joke, no matter the seriousness in the moment.
