CASC Softball Split @ Rose State College

Game 1: CASC 14, RSC 11

Carl Albert State College took the lead late and defeated Rose State College 14-11 on Thursday. The game was tied at five with CASC batting in the top of the seventh when Kenlei Duvall singled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs and Jada Harris cleared the bases with a grand slam lead ing a nine run innning. The Lady Vikings earned the victory despite allowing RSC to tie things up in the sixth inning and scoring six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Stilwell was in the pitcher's circle for Carl Albert State College and she lasted six and a third innings, allowing ten hits and nine runs while striking out four and walking zero.

  • Stilwell was 4-4 and Duvall 2-3 on the day at the plate.

Game 2: RSC 11, CASC 9

Carl Albert State College's effort to come back from down six runs in the third inning came up just short, as they fell 11-9 to Rose State College in Game 2 on Thursday. CASC scored seven runs in the failed comeback on a error in the fourth, a single by Kayde Whitney in the fifth, a fielder's choice by Ashley Johnson in the fifth, a error in the fifth, a fielder's choice by Jayda Harris in the fifth, a single by Harris in the seventh, and a double by Rheding Wagoner in the seventh. Despite the loss, the Lady Vikings did collect ten hits in the high-scoring affair and were led by Whitney, Johnson, Paige Resler, and Harris, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the fourth inning.  Jacee Nunley led things off in the pitcher's circle for Carl Albert State College and Jordan Carroll threw three and a third innings in relief.
